Crestwell School's Mission:

Crestwell, a unique Fort Myers private school founded by parent-educators, is located at 1901 Park Meadows Drive. Crestwell School stands apart from other schools in many ways.

The Founding Administrators are not paid for administration and are local, accessible, and focused on the academic and personal success of the student since their own children are enrolled. Because the Founders are all parent educators, they have the ability to see and feel issues from both sides, to the benefit of the students, teachers, and parents.

Crestwell believes each student has to be recognized as an important individual whose self-esteem, attitude, and academic curiosity must be handled with a positive approach. All of Crestwell's teachers have their degrees, and are prepared to re-enforce academic basics while challenging the academically-talented.

Students are encouraged to soar with their strengths, but average weaknesses are noted and worked on.

At this time we do not have a special education program for students with learning disabilities.

Class sizes are considered small in the elementary and middle school. Students are expected to display responsible, respectful behavior. This eliminates negative peer pressure and insures that teachers can actually teach. At Crestwell, learning is not interrupted. Behavior modification is directed to the individual student in need of attention in a firm, consistent but considerate manner. Disruptive students are removed from the class.

Computers and science labs, as well as photography lab are part of the Crestwell education.

The 6.9 acre campus is utilized for recess, science discovery, gardening, and physical education.

Connecting students to success is a motto that Crestwell stands behind and focuses on for all levels of students. Our three and four year olds are in a stress-free learning environment guided by a qualified teacher. The Pre-School has separate rooms for concentrated readiness preparation.

The elementary and middle school students are taught the study skills and fundamentals needed to succeed academically, but their emotional and social well being are careful addressed as well. Guest professionals enhance learning.
